Full Heart.

My heart is sooo full after such a splendid day with my little family. Saturday we woke up had a cup of coffee and then bundled up to go outside and enjoy the first snow of 2014! Most of the time I get so caught up in the day to day routine that I forget to just get out and enjoy the time with my family but this was not that kind of day! I did not worry about my hair, my make-up, what I was going to wear, or the amount of money that was going to be spent. All that mattered was getting outside and playing with my family!

I lost count of all the snowballs thrown my way!

Trey even built Addison her first snowman. Addison named him Olaf!

My days like these are numbered as the countdown to getting back into the work routine is on. I am enjoying the small things and filling my heart with incredible memories.

Bonus: This also allowed me to cross an item off that Bucket List.

January.

The first of our 2014 has been extremely low key. We have had several weeks worth of extreme cold temps that has kept us indoors screaming for Spring. Addison has a newfound love for the cartoon "Teen Titans" and I have watched the entire season of  "Friday Night Lights."
Due to the cold temperatures most of our days are just our day to day routine of getting up, brushing our teeth, grabbing a cup of joe, and lounging in our jammies all day.

In January, we took a short weekend family trip to visit Aunt Lindy in Tennessee, welcomed my precious nephew Jack Collins Ballard to the family, and had a few playdates with cousins and friends.
Below are a few pics captured during the first month of 2014!

I am so thankful for a job that allows me four full months of lounging around in my jammies with my little one, and for a husband that works his tail off so that we can afford it.

Bucket List.

Recently I have started thinking about things I would like to accomplish in my lifetime. Below is a start to my bucket list and in no particular order.

  2. See Wicked on Broadway.
  3. Revisit Europe with Trey.
  4. Read the Bible.
  5. Be Debt-free.
  6. See all 50 states.
  7. Relive my honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

  9. Mail out Christmas Cards.
  10. Pay it Forward.
  11. Attend the Kentucky Derby.
  12. Take Addison to the drive-in.
  13. Complete family books for every year.
  14. Continue dating my husband.
  15. Go technology free for one day.
  16. Sew my own quilt.
  17. Visit New York City and see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade live.
  18. Manage my own business.
  19. Complete the 365 day challenge. (Take one photo a day for an entire year.)

  26. Build a snowman and sled with Addison.   January 2014.
  27. Sisters/mom trip. (sadly this one will never be marked off my list as mom passed away on November 29th,2014)
  28. Go to a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game.  May 2014  Six year Anniversary trip.
  29. No sodas for one week straight.
  30. Go on a true picnic with my family.
I loved actually sitting down and thinking about things that I truly want to invest my time in and accomplish in life. All these items will be memories for myself and my family!

4th Birthday Party.

This year for Addison's 4th birthday she and I decided to go with an Ice Cream theme...

This party was so fun to put together. We celebrated at my mom's house on Addison's actual birthday on a Sunday afternoon. Flavors of ice cream available were vanilla, chocolate, and birthday cake. The toppings were marshmallows, chocolate chips, cherries, sprinkles, Oreo cookies, Nutter Butter cookies, and gummy worms. I also had waffle cones, baby cones, and root beer for floats.

Addison definitely enjoys all of the attention!  She loved everyone singing Happy Birthday to her.

She had so much fun with her family and friends.

After her party we had our own little family of three birthday celebration at Los Portalos. These few images are from my IPhone.

I loved getting to celebrate Addison and who she is.

Disney.

Back in May we had our annual family vacation but this time it involved the most magical place! Addison flew on her first airplane ride to Orlando, Florida to visit Disney World! We spent an entire week hopping from park to park....

An appointment at the Bippity Boppity Boutique got us princess ready!

Our Princess.

The last day of vacation we went over to Universal Studios where Addison rode her very first real Roller coaster! Addison has not stopped talking about a roller coaster since! She loved every bit of it and begs to ride another one almost daily!

This trip was a blast and we made so many family memories to last forever! The arguments we had (over what to do next, or where to go) were minimal compared to the memories that were made.
