Our Christmas

Our Christmas was tons of fun this year! Addison knew all about presents and tearing them open. She jumped from one present straight to the other and wasted no time!

Our Christmas started with the tradition of Christmas Eve afternoon at my grandma's house. We all met there with appetizers in hand, and ate! Then after filling up our bellies we moved into the living room and piled up the presents! After leaving my grandma's, my sisters and brother-in-laws all met up at our house for a little bit before moving on to the next destination at Grandmother Nancy's. It was fun getting to spend that extra time with my sisters!
Griffin got one super big gift this year from his parents and Pa Rusty so we all had to go outside to check it out!

Of course, Whit had to relive her childhood...

At Grandmother Nancy's we had a dinner of lasagna and salad! Then everyone migrated down into the den, to once again watch the kids enjoy their presents and participate in Dirty Santa! It was super fun this year with everyone fighting after a "basket of turnips" and lottery tickets! Everyone always tries to find the unique gift that my grandfather brings because it usually has a little something extra hidden somewhere. This year he had cut out a hole in the middle of a turnip and you had to eat the turnip until you found the prize. So here is Jordan who ended up with the basket and later had to find the extra gift, which was $20.00!

More pictures from Grandmother Nancy's...

Then after leaving Grandmother's house we headed on home to prepare for Santa! Mima and Granddad were at our house this Christmas Eve too! They woke up with us Christmas morning to see what Santa brought and to enjoy breakfast with more presents!

Of course, Santa brought mommy and daddy many neat goodies too! I cannot wait to get out my new sewing machine and start learning!

We were so happy to have Christmas at our house this year!

A Special Thank You to the Tucker's

Addison wanted me to be sure and thank our wonderful neighbors for her baby doll they gave her for Christmas. So "Thank You" to Scott, Tabitha, Sydny, and Josh! Addison loves her new baby doll and when she went to change the diaper she yelled "EWW!"

We wish the four of you a very Merry Christmas!

Visit with Santa

Today was the day we visited Santa Claus and told him about all the goodies we would like to have on Christmas!

Addison was ready to go sit in Ole St. Nick's lap this year! She was so excited!

I love this one!

Griffin and Reagan also tagged along with us....

But Reagan would not go near the big man in the red suit.

We had much better progress than one year ago...

Murray State = Dominator

On Sunday I had the pleasure of watching Murray State dominate Memphis LIVE!
My wonderful in-laws took my mom and I to Memphis to view the game in a luxurious and spacious suite (Trey had to work).

Before going to the game we went and had lunch at The Commissary in Germantown. I am not sure if this was not the best ribs that I have ever consumed. I believe that they were better than the Rendezvous. This was my first trip to The Commissary but I am sure that it will not be my last.

We all four had a blast at the game even though we were a group divided. My in-laws were for Memphis and my mom and I were for Murray State so it made us an interesting bunch.

My mom and I also had several rude looks as we cheered on the Racers from a Memphis suite. Those Memphis fans sure do take their team serious! Including those crazy in-laws of mine. (By the way, I loved rubbing in that WIN on the car ride home!)

It was sooo much fun to watch Murray State defeat the No. 21 team on Sunday and move their team up to a No. 24 ranking. Is it not great that Kentucky has three teams ranked in the top 25?

I cannot wait til March Madness!

Take a 2nd...

Around our house we have been celebrating a very special 2nd birthday! Addison turned two on November 24th (Thanksgiving day).

This year we decided to host the party at our house. We had about 27 guests attend and everyone enjoyed pizza and cookie cake! The birthday theme was "Our Little Turkey" with Fall colors and decorations.

Addison loved all the attention and kids running around her room!

She also loved all the presents with toys...

Daddy might have liked a couple of them too...

She also has enjoyed the cupcakes for a whole week!

The guests got to take home a little treat too. The party favors were a single serving of hot cocoa with warmest wishes from Addison.

Thank you to every single person who attended and for helping celebrate "Our Little Turkey's" 2nd Birthday. Each one of you made it even more special!

I am leaving you with a few loves of Addison's at age 2:
