Fall is Here...

Fall has arrived and I cannot wait for the cooler temps and everything that fall brings! To me the season of fall means the smell of tobacco barns, mums, pumpkins, Halloween decorations, an upcoming birthday, the smell of chili simmering in the crock-pot, and the joy of chasing Addison around outside comfortably.
I LOVE FALL!

I am hoping that this weekend we can enjoy the season with a visit to the pumpkin patch and family time!

Psalm 48:14 For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.

A man with a smile that could light up the room and a voice that could spark everyone's attention!

A man who would lead in prayer at every family gathering we ever had. Who will lead the prayers now?

A lady's man... Need I say more?

A husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

A great gardener.

"The Wart Wisperer"  A man who could rub a wart and it go away in a few days. I know mine DID!  (He always told you to not pay attention to it and it would go away)

A deacon, song leader, and whatever else Sinking Springs Church needed him to be...

A believer that anyone could change and be the person that they were determined to be.

A head-strong Democrat (to the end)

A frequent guest at  Martha's Restaurant and Sammon's too!

An avid coffee drinker...

A man that could always come up with a wisecrack and had a little snicker.

A man that took a personal incident and made it a childhood lesson. ( "Don't suck on that thumb or it will look like mine.")      -Thank Jessy!

The Bachelorette

I cannot wait to be a part of my best friends wedding day! It is going to be an unforgettable event!

She is so special and deserves the very best and I believe she has found it!

Last weekend Amberly's sisters, Candice Norsworthy, Becky English and myself all took an overnight trip to Nashville, TN to celebrate. We stayed at the spectacular Opryland Hotel . Our room was a mini suite that was fit for a King. 

While getting ready for the night out we sipped on a glass a wine. Then before we all hit the town we enjoyed a champagne toast to the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Hodge.

Our plan was to have dinner at the upscale Sambuca.  The plan kind of fell through, so our first stop was downtown at the Wildhorse Saloon. We all shared an appetizer and a few cocktails while we enjoyed listening to the band.

Then we took off and headed to the famous Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville. I devoured a hamburger and missed out on the rest of the night. After I ate I decided I was ready to go "night, night," in Addison terms.

I heard the girls come back into the room around 3:00AM and it sounded like they were having FUN. When a few girls get together though, Drama always sneaks up on you, and that is as far as I will go with that!

I was HAPPY to be a part of the memories that were made that night, and cannot wait for many more memories to be made! There is still soooooo much to look forward to!

I am off to celebrate a best friends last few days of freedom! Tonight we are heading to Nashville to have fun being GIRLS!  We are not sure what is to come, but I know it will be fun! I will be back after tonight to tell you ALL about it!
P.S. I'm already missing my little baby girl!  Addison your mommy loves you!
