4th of July

We had a fantastic weekend full of 4th of July festivities and family! Friday night Addison and I went downtown for a little bit with my mom (Gigi). We walked around and listened to the bands that were playing and did a little shopping at the vendors that were set up. Then Saturday morning we woke up to go to the parade with Whitney and Reagan! It was so HOT holding Addison at the parade! Next time, Whit and I decided to be a little more prepared and make sure to have the strollers, and a blanket. We were miserable. Our kiddos sure did enjoy the parade and their suckers though! After the parade Addison and I decided to take a little dip in the pool that Trey bought us!

Saturday evening Addison and I packed up and headed to Whit's house for a little 4th of July cook-out. Whitney and I had talked about it after the parade and later on she called me and told me they would start up the grill around 6:00! I'm glad they called because it was fun and I love for Addison to play and make memories with her sweet little cousin! Whit, Trent, Addison, Reagan, Jeff Ballard, Ashley Bogard, Jeremy Miller, Jessy and Seth, Tannar and Lindsey Gaines, and myself all attended. We had hamburgers and hotdogs, pasta salad, potatos, and no-bake chocolate oatmeal cookies! It was delish!

The fireworks in Murray were Saturday night so after the cook-out Addison and I ran home to get Trey because he finally got off work and was able to join us to watch the fireworks! We were invited by Hal and Leslie Kemp to go watch the fireworks in the indoor suite at Roy Stewart Stadium. So we enjoyed the fireworks in the air conditioning. It worked out really well because Addison could do her own thing and Trey and I did not have to chase after her the entire time. Addison did not enjoy the fireworks like I had thought. She did not watch them but for a total of three minutes and decided she was not interested.

On Sunday, Trey had to go back to work for a little bit so Addison and I went on to my Grandmother's for the usual Sunday lunch. Then after lunch we went home to pack up for the lake and fireworks at Moors Marina!

We stayed super busy but it was totally worth every penny! It was a fun-filled weekend with lots of great friends and family! I believe we got to see a little bit of everyone over the entire weekend!
I hope everyone had a great Independence Day!
