Family Fun in Florida

Warning: It is hard to make a short post out of seven FULL days!

The beginning of August we took a family vacation to Panama City Beach, Florida. This was Addison's first road trip over 2 hours and her first vacation. She did perfect! Before we left I had prepared Addison a little travel bucket filled with travel snacks, new toys, and movies that I thought she would enjoy.

We left around 8:00AM Friday July 29th and took our time to arrive in Florida. We made several stops to walk around and enjoy ourselves. We made it on Friday night and then went on a hunt for a hotel room for the night until we could check into our condo on Saturday. After the hunt we went and had some Mexican food so that I would not go through withdrawals.
Everyday we went to the beach/pool and enjoyed the HOT weather. We did not see a rain drop the entire trip! Addison loved the sand and water and even learned a little more about swimming. The pool really helped with her confidence of swimming on her own. We bought her some arm floaties and she did not want any help or support.

I could not believe how fast Addison learned to kick and use her legs to get to where she wanted to go. She is a quick learner!

During our trip we ate lunch in the condo. Lunch was usually sandwiches with rotel dip or ranch pasta. Dinner time was definitely a highlight of my trip. We ate so much good food! The first night we had Capt. Anderson's, followed by Angelo's Steak Pit, then we ordered in pizza on Monday, Pineapple Willy's, Capt. Jack's, and last but not least a buffet at the dog track races on Friday night.

One night Trey, Russell, and I decided to take the kids out on the beach to hunt for crabs. It was FUN! Carter loved it and chased after everyone we found, and kept the running total! I believe we found 17! He even told us that the crabs were going home with him on the plane! We told him we did not think the airport would allow that and he said he was going to sneak them in his suitcase. Reese told us that she liked to look at them, but that was it!

Also while we were there we had a little photo session. Here are a few of my favorites....

The trip was not all fun and games though...

Little "Missy" decided to pitch a fit or two!

It was quality time spent with family and tons of Florida Fun!
